Police presence on Ambrose Street

City police were dispatched to Ambrose Street Monday around 4:30 a.m.

THUNDER BAY -- City police have a section of Ambrose Street, in Thunder Bay's north end, blocked off after receiving reports of a disturbance in the area. 

Police say they were called to the scene at just before 4:30 a.m. on Monday and officers remain on scene as the investigation continues. 

The major crimes unit is also involved in the investigation. 

Police will update the public are more information becomes available.

Thunder Bay Police Service officers with the primary response unit were dispatched to the 200 block of Ambrose Street just before 4:30 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 22 following reports of a disturbance in the area.

Officers remain at the scene and the public is advised that an increased police presence is expected in the area as the investigation continues.

Members of the Major Crimes Unit are now involved in the continued investigation.
