Police presence on city's south side

Police say they are conducting a call for service and ask the public to avoid a section of South May Street between Arthur and Hardisty streets.

THUNDER BAY -- City police have asked the public to avoid the South May Street area between Arthur and Hardisty streets.

There is an increased police presence is in the area dealing with a call for service, according to a release issued on Wednesday night by Thunder Bay Police.

No further details have been released.
