The OPP's underwater search and rescue unit has recovered the body of a man who went missing in the Winnipeg River.

Police were called Saturday after witnesses reported seeing a man jump off the Darington Bay Bridge and fail to surface.

The man has been identified as 20-year-old John Savoyard of Minaki.

Another search continues on the Rainy River, near Emo, for a 27-year-old man who disappeared yesterday while taking a swim.

The man and a companion were swimming near the Emo docks when he went under the water and failed to surface.

A shoreline search of the area turned up no sign of the man.

The OPP underwater search and recovery unit has been called to the scene.
