THUNDER BAY — The Thunder Bay Police Service responded Monday afternoon to a reported bomb threat in a south-side residential neighbourhood.
Police issued a brief statement about the incident at 4:17 pm.
They said the threat involved the 300 block of Norah Street North.
Some homes in the area were evacuated as a precaution, while other residents were asked to shelter in place.
Members of the public were asked to avoid the area.
No further information was immediately provided, but TBPS said it would release more details as they became available.
Late Monday evening, the police service said officers had left the scene, but no additional details about the incident were released.
