Police respond to two weapons calls over night

Thunder Bay police have a man and a woman in custody on aggravated assault charges in connection with two separate weapons incidents that occurred Sunday night.

Thunder Bay police have a man and a woman in custody on aggravated assault charges in connection with two separate weapons incidents that occurred Sunday night.

Police located and arrested a 41-year-old male for Assault with a Weapon and Breach of Undertaking.

At approximately 9:18 p.m. police attended the 200 block of Picton Ave for a stabbing.

Upon arrival Police located a male victim with a slight injury to his neck and determine an argument had ensued and the victim had a knife held to his throat.

Both the victim and accused are known to each other.

He will appear in court June 6.

A second weapons call was received at approximately 10:27 p.m. on the 200 block of Ambrose Street.

Police received a call of a disturbance at a residence and when they arrived officers could hear fighting and had to breach the door.

Officers found a male inside the residence with multiple non-life threatening stab wounds.

He was taken to the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre for treatment.

A 29 yr. old female was arrested for Aggravated Assault and will appear in court on the June 6.
