KENORA, Ont. – Police say a pair of armed suspects forced their way into a Kenora home and allegedly stole electronics before fleeing.

The suspects were later arrested and taken into custody.

In a release issued on Saturday night, OPP say the incident took place at about 2 p.m. at a north-side residence, armed with a firearm.

Police were given a description of the two suspects, which led to their arrest, with the assistance of the Northwest Region canine unit, the Kenora crime unit and the youth and crisis unit.

The suspects were arrested five hours after the incident began.

Police have not named the two taken into custody, but said more details will be released as the investigation continues.
