Police search for man who went missing after dive

OPP continue their search in the Rainy Lake area for a young man missing following a diving incident.

According to Fort Frances detachment OPP officers, a group of friends jumped from a bridge on Highway 11 in the Bears Pass area. After one dive, the missing man failed to re-surface.

Police were called Sunday and Marine Patrols began a search that continued throughout the night and into Monday. The name of the missing man has not been released.

Elsewhere, an OPP search in Marks Township was successful in finding a group of young adults who had become lost. Police received a call just before 3 a.m. Monday from a group of five people who advised them they had lost their way following a walk on a bush road in the Adrian Lake Road area.

Officers who attended the area activated their lights and siren to help the lost group get their bearings. They were located a short time later safe and sound.
