Police searching for amber alert suspect

THUNDER BAY - The suspect in a child abduction investigation that triggered an amber alert Monday morning remains outstanding.

Ontario Provincial Police are looking for 47-year-old Lynda McCallum, who was seen with the young boy at the centre of the amber alert.

According an OPP spokeswoman, a member of the public recognized the boy from the amber alert and contacted police. The boy was found at the Tim Hortons on River Street and is currently in the care of the Children’s Aid Society.

McCallum is described as being 5-foot-2, weighing approximately 130 pounds with blonde/brown hair. She was last seen driving a silver vehicle with loud exhaust.

Anyone with any information on the possible whereabouts of McCallum is asked to contact police.
