Police searching for hit-and-run driver

City police hope the public can help them find the driver of a vehicle that allegedly struck a pedestrian and sped off early Thursday morning.
City police hope the public can help them find the driver of a vehicle that allegedly struck a pedestrian and sped off early Thursday morning.

Officials with the Thunder Bay Police Service say a man reported that he was struck by a vehicle and knocked to the ground at the corner of Pringle and Royal Streets around 3 a.m. Thursday.

Police say the driver left the scene without stopping to offer assistance.

The pedestrian was taken to the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre where he was treated for non-life threatening injuries.

Police are asking anyone with information about this incident call the Thunder Bay Police Service’s traffic unit at 684-1038 or 684-1200.
