The Thunder Bay Police Service is requesting public assistance in identifying a suspect connected to a recent robbery at a credit union ATM.
The original incident occurred on Saturday, May 30 at about 10:20 a.m. at the Copperfin Credit Union at 71 Algoma Street South.
Police learned the victim was retrieving money from an ATM at the credit union. When the money was issued by the machine the victim was pushed by one of two males who were inside the vestibule.
The money was taken and the accused males fled the area.
As a result of an ongoing investigation by members of the Break and Enter And Robbery (BEAR) Unit, one of the two males connected to this incident was identified, located and charged. The second male remains at-large and police are still working toward positively identifying him.
The unidentified suspect is described as being an Indigenous male believed to be 20-to-30 years of age. He wore blue jeans, khaki boots, a black shirt, black baseball cap and sunglasses at the time of the incident.
Investigators have obtained surveillance footage showing the suspect.
An image is being released to the public in hopes the suspect can be positively identified.
