Police seek suspect in Circle K robbery (2 photos)

Police responded to a report of a robbery at Circle K on May Street Thursday afternoon.

THUNDER BAY – City police are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect in connection to a recent convenience store robbery.

Thunder Bay police were dispatched the Circle K convenience store located at 346 May Street North on Thursday just before 3 p.m. for a reported robbery.

According to a release, police learned a woman had entered the store armed with a syringe, approached the clerk from behind the counter as part of her robbery attempt. She was unsuccessful, fled the store and was last observed heading southbound on foot on May Street.

The accused is described as an Indigenous woman in her 30s with a medium build.
 

She wore a black undershirt, gray leggings and sandals. She held a white, black and blue checkered flannel shirt over her head at the time of the robbery.
