Video: Police seek syringe-wielding robber

Police seek suspect in connection with a convenience store robbery.
THUNDER BAY -- City police are releasing surveillance video that will help them find the suspect involved in an early morning convenience store robbery.

According to police, the suspect entered the Mac’s Convenience Store located on Arthur Street Thursday around 5:30 a.m. The man attempted to use a debit card, but when the PIN number failed, he pulled out a syringe and demanded money from the employee.

The suspect left the store with a small amount of cash.

The man is described as an Indigenous male about 20 years old, standing five-foot-ten inches tall with a thin build and short brown hair. He was wearing a plaid bush jacket, dark pants and brown footwear.
