THUNDER BAY -- A 24-year-old Eabametoong First Nation man has been arrested for transporting illegal drugs to his community.
The Nishnawbe-Aski Police Service Drug Unit apprehended the man on Sunday as he was carrying percocet prescription pills, suboxone pills and marijunana. A NAPS release said the northern street value of the drugs was approximately $1,580.
The man was chardged with possession for the purpose of trafficking. He has been released from custody on conditions.
Eabametoong First Nation is located approximately 385 km northeast of Thunder Bay.
