KENORA, Ont. -- Police say officers seized nearly 40 pounds of marijuana from a speedy driver Thursday.
Officials with the Kenora detachment of the OPP say officers stopped a vehicle in the Northwestern Ontario city for speeding in the morning. A search of the vehicle turned up the nearly 40 pounds of pot.
Police estimate the potential street value of the drugs seized to be nearly $190,000.
A 23-year-old Calgary man is now in custody and faces a charge of possession for the purpose of trafficking and possession of property obtained by crime.
