THUNDER BAY - It has been four years since the body of 32-year-old William Wapoose was found on a bike path on the city's south side and police continue to seek information about the person or persons who are responsible for his death.

On September 3, 2014, Wapoose’s body was found off the bike path in Chapples Drive just after 7:30 a.m. After arriving on the scene, investigating officers with the Thunder Bay Police Service ruled the death suspicious and later confirmed that the case was officially a homicide.

Investigating officers have said in 2016 that information has come and gone over the years but the investigation remains open and active.

Anyone with information regarding what happened to William Wapoose is urged to contact police at 684-1200. If you wish to remain anonymous, you can contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or www.p3tips.com, where you could be eligible for a cash reward of up to $2,000.

In 2014 there were 11 homicides in the city of Thunder Bay. The Wapoose case remains the only outstanding investigation.
