THUNDER BAY – Thunder Bay residents with outstanding warrants are being encouraged to turn themselves in before Feb. 1.

If not, they could find their images and personal information splashed throughout the media and on the Thunder Bay Police Service’s website and social media feeds.

Police, in a release, said they plan to launch Wanted Wednesday in 2017 to provide the public with images of wanted adults.

“The TBPS is informing the public about this new program and encouraging individuals with outstanding warrants to deal with them before February 1, 2017. This would involve wanted persons attending the Balmoral Police Station to surrender to police to have the warrant executed and begin the court process in answer to the charges,” the release states.

Police advise anyone considering turning themselves in to consider contacting a lawyer, though if taken into custody, that opportunity will be provided at that time.
