THUNDER BAY – Police are advising the public that all issues with their telephone system have been resolved.

The Thunder Bay Police Service issued a media release Saturday afternoon stating that police telephone services were operating regularly and thanking the public for their patience.

On Friday night police had issued a notice that a service disruption could impact their phone lines, including 911.

Police had advised the public that if they were disconnected from a 911 call, operators would phone back, adding during a 911 call there could be a degradation of service.

The issue also affected the non-emergency police line.

The problem originated with Tbaytel, according to the release from police.
