THUNDER BAY — Thunder Bay Police are currently on scene in the city's east end investigating a possible barricaded subject at a residence in the 500 block of McTavish Street.
The area has been contained by the TBPS Emergency Task Unit and residents in the immediate vicinity are being evacuated to ensure public safety.
McTavish Street between Christie and McNaughton streets has been closed to traffic. We are asking the public avoid this area. Further updates will be provided as this incident progresses.
Police have issued a Canada-wide search warrant for Charles Norman Casmey following the murder of a 63-year-old man on Monday at a MacLaughlin Street residence. Police have not confirmed whether or not Casmey is the subject involved.
