The TBDHU says the potential risk of infection is low

THUNDER BAY — The Thunder Bay District Health Unit is advising the public of two additional locations where they may have been exposed to COVID-19.

Individuals who visited the Canada Games Complex the evening of Nov. 6, or the Leading Edge Gym on Mooney Avenue on the evenings of Nov. 3 and Nov. 4 are advised to monitor themselves carefully for symptoms.

The TBDHU says the overall risk of getting infected would be low.

However, anyone experiencing even one symptom of COVID-19 is urged to call the TBDDHU at (807) 625-5900 or the local assessment centre for testing.

The hours of potential exposure are as follows:

Leading Edge Gym - Tues. Nov 3 between 6:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., and Wed. Nov. 4 between 7:40 p.m. and 8:40 p.m.

Canada Games Complex - Fri. Nov. 6 between 7 p.m. and 9:30 p.m.

The complex remains open.

A spokesperson at Leading Edge Gym said Tuesday afternoon their facility is temporarily closed because management felt it was prudent to wait for some test results, despite the low risk of exposure.
