A power outage at Thunder Bay's Service Ontario office forced the building to shutdown for part of the day.
Managers and staff at the Ontario government facility were notified about the power outage at around 7 a.m. The problem was apparently caused by a failed surge protector, which tripped a breaker.
All the offices, including health card and driver's license renewals, were closed to the public due to the outage. Employees were told to stay home.
Power was restored to the building just before noon, after safety tests were conducted.
