THUNDER BAY — Over 1,400 customers of Hydro One in rural areas north of Thunder Bay were knocked off the electricity grid Wednesday afternoon.
The utility reported shortly after 3:30 pm that a broken pole had caused an outage affecting customers in unorganized townships including Fowler, Gorham, Jacques and MacGregor.
Hydro One said crews were en route and the power was restored later Wednesday.
There was no immediate word on how the pole came to be damaged.
