A power outage this afternoon left about 2,000 Thunder Bay Hydro customers without power.
The outage happened in Current River, and affected traffic lights, residents and businesses.
By about 2 p.m., power had been restored to all but about 500 of those customers.
Hydro officials are blaming the outage on an equipment problem on Grenville Avenue.
The utility has been unable to estimate when power will be fully restored to everyone in the area.
