THUNDER BAY – Nearly 1,500 Hydro customers were left in the dark early Friday morning.
Officials with Thunder Bay Hydro say trees falling on power lines caused an outage, which stretched from Westfort to Mount Road and Mount Forest areas just after 4 a.m.
The power was fully restored just after 7 a.m., however the utility is prepared for other issues today due to Thursday night’s snowfall.
Hydro officials say these kinds of issues are perfect examples as to why people shouldn’t have trees close to power lines.
