THUNDER BAY -- Lakehead Public Schools experienced a board-wide connection issue, leaving schools without access to the internet.

In a statement to Dougall Media, the board on Friday said they were notified early in the morning of the issue. Connectivity has since been restored to the board office and Victoria Park, and was later restored to all schools, board officials said in an update.

Schools remained open and operational and day-to-day proceedings contiued as usual during the outage.
