THUNDER BAY - Lakehead University, Confederation College, and the Thunder Bay Symphony Orchestra benefited from the kindness and generosity of the community.
The Raag-Rung Music Circle recently donated $2,500 each to Lakehead University and Confederation College for scholarships, and an additional $2,500 to the Thunder Bay Symphony Orchestra.
The money was raised during the Raag-Rung Music Circle’s 34th Annual Fundraising Evening of Fabulous Food and Marvelous Music held last October.
The evening included authentic East Indian cuisine prepared by City Heart/King of India of Winnipeg and music was provided by Anupama Bhagwat of India and Nitin Mitta.
The money was donated by more than 120 local businesses who attended the fundraiser.
