THUNDER BAY – Levels of radioactive radon gas in Thunder Bay are more than double that of the provincial average.
That information was released by the Thunder Bay and District Health Unit Monday morning.
While that single fact was released Monday, the Health Unit has yet to release any specific results of its findings from a radon prevalence study for the Thunder Bay area.
The study was conducted from 2014 and 2015.
The radon prevalence report will be released as part of the Radon Action Month in Canada.
More information will be made available Wednesday.
