OPP are conducting a recovery effort after a male entered the Mackenzie River and didn't resurface.
Police say four males were diving into the water around the 200 block of Mackenzie Heights Road just before 3:30 p.m. Wednesday afternoon in Shuniah Township.
One male dove in, experienced troubles, and disappeared in the water. The other three males conducted a search and called emergency personnel for help. Shuniah Fire, Thunder Bay Fire Rescue, and the OPP all responded. An OPP dive team will be in the area Friday to assist in the recovery effort
