Red Lake man faces drug trafficking charges

RED LAKE, Ont. – One man is facing drug trafficking charges following an investigation in Red Lake.

According to a release, Ontario Provincial Police, Red Lake OPP Community Street Crime Unit and the Kenora Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau conducted an investigation which led to the arrest of a 43-year-old Red Lake man on Tuesday.

The 43-year-old was charged with trafficking of schedule 1 substance - oxycodone, possession for the purpose of trafficking in schedule 1 substance - oxycodone and possession of property obtained by crime.

He was released by way of promise to appear in court on Sept. 19 to answer to the charges.
