RED LAKE -- Police impounded an All-Terrain Vehicle and charged an 18-year-old Red Lake man with operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol on Saturday night.
The man failed a roadside breathayizer test after OPP officers stopped him for speeding on his ATV.
The OPP impounded the vehicle for a minimum of seven days and police suspended the man's license.
He is scheduled to appear in a Red Lake court on Dec. 10.
In a release, Red Lake OPP encouraged the public to call 911 or contact police at 1-888-310-1122 whenever suspecting that a driver is impaired while operating a motor vehicle whether it is a car, truck, motorcycle, ATV, snowmobile, boat or even an airplane.
