Red Lake OPP investigate fire

RED LAKE, Ont. – Red Lake OPP are asking for the public’s help as they investigate a fire in Balmertown.

According to a release, OPP received information on May 12 around 11 a.m. regarding a fire near Detta Road in Balmertown.

The fire, which was about 15.5 hectares in size, was controlled and contained by Red Lake Municipal Fire Fighters and Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry.

The investigation into the cause of the fire remains ongoing.
