The municipal council in Oliver Paipoonge is expressing some concerns over redirecting truck traffic off Highway 102 and through its municipality.
The City of Thunder Bay is looking at ways to divert transport trucks off of Dawson Road.
Suggestions include re-routing cross-Canada transport traffic to the Shabaqua extension, or construct an alternative truck route that links Highway 102 to the new interchange on Hodder Avenue.
A report with recommendations will come to Thunder Bay Council in February.
