Residents displaced by fire on Northern Avenue

THUNDER BAY — Investigators are looking into the cause of a fire at a southside Thunder Bay residence Saturday night.

Firefighters arrived to find an active blaze in the attic on the second floor of a building on Northern Avenue.

All the occupants had already fled to safety, allowing crews to concentrate on pulling down the ceiling and extinguishing the fire.

No injuries were reported.

Thunder Bay Fire Rescue said the displaced individuals were assisted by the Red Cross.
