THUNDER BAY, ONT. — Resolute Forest Products has released six animated capsules that highlight Resolute’s sustainability performance.

The purpose of the series, which is found online on social media platforms, is to engage with stakeholders to keep them informed of developments at Resolute, said Seth Kursman, vice-president of corporate communications, government affairs and sustainability with Resolute Forest Products.

“This is an effective way on social media to promote various initiatives and sustainable leadership by the company,” he said. “And people like them because they’re very short. They tell a very quick story and it’s done.”

He says people don’t have the patience to watch a two- or three-minute long video but they will watch a 15- to 18-second one.

The fourth animated capsule that has been released, Partnering with Indigenous Communities, focuses on Resolute’s commitment to building strong partnerships and developing shared economic prosperity with Indigenous communities.

The previous animated capsules include topics on governance, safety and forest certification. More capsules will be released in the coming weeks.
