THUNDER BAY -- It appears there will be labour peace at the Resolute Mill for the next four years.
This follows announcement of a new tentative agreement between Unifor and the company.
The deal comes following two weeks of bargaining in Montreal, aimed at reaching an agreement between the union and Resolute for 40 company operations in Eastern Canada.
Details of the contract are being withheld pending ratification votes.
If accepted, the contract will serve as the pattern agreement for the pulp and paper industry in eastern Canada.
