A man allegedly armed with a large knife is being sought by police after a daring restaurant robbery attempt Sunday night on West Arthur Street.

A man allegedly armed with a large knife is being sought by police after a daring restaurant robbery attempt Sunday night on West Arthur Street.

Police say the suspect, described as a Caucasian male with a thin build wearing a dark, long-sleeve shirt and pants demanded cash from Tokyo House staff and fled the scene after restaurant employees unsuccessfully attempted to subdue him.

The suspect, who witnesses placed in his late 20s, was last seen headed northbound through the parking lot toward Donald Street.
No one was injured in the incident.

Anyone with information is asked to call police or Crime Stoppers at 623-8477.
