THUNDER BAY - Restore Week at the Solid Waste & Recycling Facility on Mapleward Road will take place from Oct. 23 – 27. During this special week, residents visiting the landfill can donate gently used building materials, appliances, cabinets, furniture, tools, plumbing and electrical materials to Habitat for Humanity’s tent between the hours of 10 am and 4 pm. The tent will be located past the weigh scales, near the public drop-off bins.
This initiative prevents re-usable items from being buried at the landfill site. Residents who will not be visiting the landfill during this week are encouraged to donate their used items to the Habitat for Humanity ReStore at 660 Squier Street.
