The Rick Hansen 25th Anniversary Relay is ready and set for this weekend.
About 20 medal bearers are now just waiting on the Sunday event to begin so they can carry the Rick Hansen Medal from the Terry Fox Lookout to the Community Auditorium.
Thunder Bay's Events Supervisor Doug Henry said the day will finish by mid afternoon.
“By 3 p.m., the Rick Hansen anniversary medals will arrive, and then there will be a presentation by the Rick Hansen foundation,” he said.
A ceremony will officially kick off the event at 1 p.m., and entertainment is scheduled to being at the Community Auditorium around 2 p.m.
