Rickford nominated as parliamentary secretary

Kenora MP Greg Rickford has a new task at hand. On Sunday, Conservative Prime Minister Stephen Harper nominated the first-term representative as the Parliamentary Secretary of Official Languages.

On Sunday, Conservative Prime Minister Stephen Harper nominated the first-term representative as the Parliamentary Secretary of Official Languages.

In his new role Rickford will assist Minister of Canadian Heritage and Official Languages James Moore. Duties as a parliamentary secretaries could include representing Moore in committee meetings.

Also on Sunday Harper nominated St. Boniface, Man. MP Shelly Glover as the Parliamentary Secretary for Indian Affairs and Northern Development.
