Road rage results in mischief charges

A 43-year-old is facing mischief charges following an incident on Highway 11 on Tuesday.

GERALDTON – A Cobalt resident faces mischief charges after OPP receive a traffic complaint on Tuesday.

Ontario Provincial Police responded to a traffic complaint of a tractor-trailer being operated in an unsafe manner in a construction zone on Highway 11 between Geraldton and Longlac.

Police say a second driver confronted the subject of the complaint and during the confrontation, damaged the tractor trailer.

As a result of the road rage incident, Gregory Oakes, 43, of Cobalt has been charged with one count of mischief under $5.000.

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in Longlac court on June 23, 2021 to answer to the charges.
