THUNDER BAY -- Treacherous road conditions has closed one of Thunder Bay's scenic lookouts to the public.
Thunder Bay's Parks division has closed the road to the Bluffs for the time being. Parks Manager Paul Fayrick said a sander truck tried to put sand on the road but the truck was unable to make it up the steep hill due to the icy conditions.
The city will attempt to use a grader to scrape off the thick ice, which has formed over the past few weeks. Fayrick said it's possible the Bluffs will have to be kept closed for the entire winter, but that call will be made in a couple of weeks.
