Road work begins on Edward Street

THUNDER BAY – Scheduled work on Edward Street between Ward Avenue and William Street will begin on Wednesday, June 9. The initial phase of the construction work will replace the existing watermain through the Edward Street and Redwood Avenue intersection.

Following the watermain work, construction of the roundabout will begin at the Edward Street and Redwood Avenue intersection later in July.

During the upcoming work, Edward Street will remain open to traffic, but with lane restrictions. Motorists are asked to reduce speed through the construction zone and to follow the posted traffic-control signage.
