A young woman armed with a syringe robbed a pharmacy in the city's north side Tuesday night, a week after another drugstore was robbed with a similar weapon.
Thunder Bay Police Service officers are asking for the public’s help in tracking down the suspect.
Police say they responded to reports of the armed robbery at Shoppers Drug Mart, at the corner of Memorial Avenue and John Street, just after 6 p.m.
Police say a 20- to 25-year-old woman, standing about five-foot-four, used a syringe to rob the pharmacy. She was last seen wearing a hoodie, baseball hat, sunglasses, pants and nylon vest- which were all black.
She also wore light-coloured shoes at the time of the robbery.
Police say she got away with prescription pills, but what kind of pills and how much has not been revealed.
Anyone with information is asked to call Thunder Bay Police.
