Robbery suspect in custody

Police took a 28-year-old male into custody on Wednesday on West Frederica Street.

THUNDER BAY – A suspect wanted in an attempted robbery earlier this month at the Thunder Pet store on Mountdale Avenue has been arrested.

Thunder Bay Police, in a release issued on Thursday, said officers with their community response team observed the suspect on Wednesday at about 2 p.m. walking in a parking lot on West Frederica Street, confirmed his identity and took him into custody without incident.

The 28-year-old male was charged with robbery, appeared in court on Thursday morning and was remanded into custody.
