Royal Bank celebrates new branch, makes donation
RBC Royal Bank is celebrating the grand opening of its newest Thunder Bay branch on Arthur Street.
To commemorate the occasion, the branch is making a donation to the Regional Health Sciences Foundation.
RBC presented the foundation with a cheque for $25,000 Wednesday evening. Royal Bank has now given nearly $320,000 to the organization since 1999.
RBC Regional vice-president Murray Walberg says it is money well spent.
The funds will support colorectal cancer screening, as well as cancer awareness programs in the region.
