Rural driver nailed for stunt driving

THUNDER BAY — Another stunt driving charge laid by members of the Thunder Bay OPP. 

Officers were doing traffic enforcement with radar just before lunchtime on Tuesday along Highway 527. 

A vehicle was observed driving 155km/hr in an 80km/hr zone. 

As a result of the investigation, the driver's licence has been suspended for 30 days, and the vehicle was impounded for 14 days.

A 58-year-old of Thunder Bay has been charged under the Highway Traffic Act for stunt driving and speeding more than 50km/hr over the posted speed limit. 

The accused was released from custody and has a future court date.
