THUNDER BAY - Icy conditions and the threat of more winter weather has led to the cancellation of all rural school bus routes and the closure of a handful of rural schools on Monday morning.
The School Bus Safety Transportation Board announced that Public Schools has closed Crestivew, Gorham & Ware, Kakabeka Falls, Valley Central, Whitefish Valley, Five Mile, McKenzie and Norwesterview public schools for the day.
All other schools operating within Lakehead Public Schools, the Thunder Bay Catholic District School Board and the French Catholic board remain open.
