THUNDER BAY – The CN Rail Trail Crossing has new eyecatching safety decals to help make the crossing more safe.

According to a release issued by the City of Thunder Bay, city workers installed 'Look. Listen. Live.' safety decals on Friday where CN Rail tracks cross the multi-use trail beside the Neebing Floodway.

These decals were installed during Rail Safety Week to enhance the safety of trail users by reminding them to check for approaching trains.

“We’re pleased to be able to add the decals during Rail Safety Week, and make the crossing safer for trail users overall,” said city roads manager Brad Adams.

The decals were provided to the city by CN Rail and are part of a nationwide program for Rail Safety Week, which is facilitated by Operation Lifesaver Canada, a partnership initiative of the Railway Association of Canada and Transport Canada.
