THUNDER BAY – Paws4Love has resumed its years long collaboration with Sleeping Giant Brewing Company after the COVID-19 pandemic.
To celebrate being able to come together again, the organizations held an event called Santa Paws which invited the furry friends that live in thunder bay to visit the brewery on Sunday to meet and take pictures with Santa Claus.
The event saw plenty of cats and dogs and even a few parrots come out and Andrea Mulligan, co-founder and CEO of Sleeping Giant Brewing Company says that it's great to be working together again with Paws4Love.
“Well, a great synergy with craft beer is people love their pets,” she said. “Most beer drinkers are dog lovers or pet lovers of some sort, so it's just a wonderful way to help an organization in the community, but also just bring people together over a great beer and a furry friend.”
Rita Grenierbuchan, director of Paws4Love says that Santa Paws is always a successful event and shes always happy with the turnout.
“It's been absolutely wonderful, the last time we had over 100 people come with their animals, it was amazing, and it's just fun,” she said. “People get together, they enjoy, drink a good beer and then we go from there.”
Attendees of the event were also able to meet Mac and Daisy, two 8-week-old puppies who are both micro-chipped and vaccinated and ready for their forever home.
