Schreiber council passes revitalization plan

Schreiber town council has officially passed a recommendation that could bring major changes to the town in the next 10 years.

Schreiber town council has officially passed a recommendation that could bring major changes to the town in the next 10 years.

It's regarding a new revitalization plan, which has been in the works for months now and focuses on town beautification and improved landscaping.

Over the next two years council hopes to make significant upgrades to Schreiber's railway museum, with new interpretive and interactive displays.

Looking more long term, the plan would improve local streets and walkways within the next 10 years. These upgrades have been on the town's radar for a couple of years now, and CAO Don McArthur says the revitalization project is the next step in making Schreiber a better place to live and visit.

The new plan also includes a town re-brand, that would bring in a new logo, and upgrades to the Schreiber website.
