FORT FRANCES, Ont. - The search for a missing 89-year-old Eva Lake area man continues.
Florent Trottier was last seen in the Eva Lake Road area on the morning of May 11. The Rainy River detachment of the OPP began searching later that evening.
He is described as 5-feet-8 inches tall and weighing about 195 pounds. He has a scar on his face that crosses his lips and is quite noticeable.
He is believed to be wearing a blaze orange insulated jacket, black ball cap with gold embroidery, a green work shirt, blue work pants and black insulated rubber boots.
A search of the area is being conducted by members of the OPP Emergency Response Team (ERT) as well as K-9 and the OPP helicopter. Also assisting in the search is the Lakehead Search and Rescue Team.
OPP Rainy River District Detachment request that any member of the public with information or who may have observed or picked anyone walking along Highway #11 or Highway #633 or anywhere in the Eva Lake/Atikokan area matching the description of TROTTIER anytime since May 11, 2015 is urged to immediately contact the OPP Provincial Communication Centre at 1-888310-1122 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
